A great way to help your digestive system get ready for the day is start the morning right. That means, when you wake up, before you’ve eaten anything, begin by boiling some water. While you wait for it to boil, peel an apple. Then when it boils, reduce it to a simmer and put the peeled, cut apple slices in the water for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fork easily goes through the apple. Then take the slices out and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Eat the apple with no water, and allow for it to gently wake up your digestive system to get ready for the day.
